I might consider the washing machine as the culprit, but just this week I have found single socks in the car, under the couch, on the stairs and outside!
Yes, I said outside. As in, on the ground.
I have officially given up on ever finding all the matches to the girls’ socks. I decided it didn’t matter. And, do you know why? They never wear them in matching pairs anyway!
I don’t know if it’s supposed to be trendy, if they think it’s funny or if they just plain don’t care if they leave the house looking like ragamuffins every day. I do know it’s not worth the time or effort to match socks when they’ll wear the first 2 socks they find in the laundry room anyway.
I suppose it should come as some comfort to know I’m not alone—if there is an entire store dedicated to mismatched socks, it is clearly not just us. Little Miss Matches sells their socks in threes, not pairs. They coordinate but do not match. And, they have several pairs for half price right now.
If they aren’t going to match, at least they should be cute—and on sale!
