Hello, My Name Is Mom: Meet the Founder of KidGrade

We all have a unique background and personality. Everyone has a different story, journey and title but we all have one thing in common—someone special calls us Mom. This series celebrates all moms, no matter how we got the title.

Today’s featured mom is Angel—the founder of KidGrade. Meet her today, then join us tonight for a fun Twitter party to celebrate the launch of her new site!

If you had to write a bio without including your kids or any form of the word Mom, what would it say? Kid at heart who has somehow turned 40. I used to travel the world as a flight attendant. Loves to read, travel, and explore nature… Beaches are my favorite place to unwind. I am Vegetarian and have recently deepened my yoga practice and love the life that yoga brings. Would rather eat chocolate than anything else and recently found out that red wine is just divine with it!

How did you get the name Mom? I got the name “mom” from my 3 little kiddos. I have been called “dad” alot too up until the last week by my 1 year old who has FINALLY learned how to say MOM! 🙂

What is your favorite thing about being a mom? My favorite thing about being a mom is the the unconditional love I receive from my kids. I know that each and everyday they will make me smile, make me laugh, give me hugs and give me kisses.

What is your biggest motherhood challenge? My biggest motherhood challenge is patience. I am actively trying to be more patient. My kids can’t do’ everything as fast as I can, the way I can or may not do it the way I want it done. I take a deep breath and give them the time to do it their way and on their own. Patience is key to fostering independence in my kids and makes them feel proud when they do something on their own.

If you could say one thing to every new mother, what would it be? My words of wisdom to a new mom: enjoy each and every day with your kids and don’t worry so much about the laundry and dishes. Those things will be there everyday, but your little baby won’t. Your children grow up so fast, have fun with them and be a “kid” with them!
