Big Kid Gift Ideas: Dolls with Personality (Plus Beatrix Girls Giveaway)

Dolls are a classic Christmas gift for a reason; little girls love their dolls. A doll has topped our girls’ Christmas lists more often than not, but they have definitely come a long way since Janice and Jen hoped for their dolls.

Now, girls want Barbie and LaLaLoopsy and Moxie Girls. They want Monster High and Ever After. We won’t have Bratz in this house at all, but kids are drawn to their design.

What moms want, though, is a quality doll with solid character. We love dolls with names and birthdays and favorite things. We like them to play with dolls that are not only full of personality but fully clothed too.

Enter Beatrix Girls.

There are 4 characters in the series — it’s a spunky girl band with serious personality. And fashion that keeps their body parts covered. That’s a real win in my book. The 12″ dolls feature the oversize head and wide eyes that are so popular with kids but without the, dare I say, slutty qualities moms hate.

You know what else these girls don’t have? A billion tiny accessories to lose, step on, and/or frustrate kids when it turns out that cute shoe? Is never staying on her foot. Instead, each doll comes with a trendy name (say hello to Lark, Ainsley, Brayden, and Chantal), a back story, and personality.

One moms won’t mind their girls looking up to.

I was provided with a feed Beatrix Girls doll to facilitate this post and giveaway, but the opinion is 100% real.
