I’m a Mommy Blogger. There. I said it. But I don’t always fit in, and I don’t always find a lot of help out there reading other mom blogs. Personal blogs are fun, and I’ve made a lot of great friends, but they don’t often provide advice & guidance I need. Help sites are filled with expert advice that just doesn’t always work in the real world. I’m looking to put together a site by moms, for moms—filled with tips, tricks & tools that are tried & true.
This site is for all of us who answer to the name mom—even those of us who think they just don’t fit. Stay-at-home mom, work-at-home mom, work-out-of-the-home mom&—does the label really matter? I’m never quite sure where I fit in the whole Mommy name game. Mostly, I am a SAHM, but I do work. I lose my WAHM title when I leave the home for speaking engagements or business conferences. The name doesn’t matter to me, but I’ve found it hard to find a place for support since I defy categorization.
Thus, Miscellaneous Mom was born! Here, I’ll share my favorite tips, tricks and tools for all categories of motherhood, as well as aspects of life that defy categorization themselves. (Where do you file those “my toddler pooped in the closet” moments?) I invite you to share your ideas as well—send me your blog links, guest post, comment and follow me on Twitter as we try to find our place in this world.
